Owner & Founder, General Manager NJ/NYC
Years ago, I used to commute daily to New York City and had a dog walker come each day while I was at work. I was always envious of her job. Then, I started walking dogs in 2006 while working on my master’s degree in education. Upon graduation, I opted not to become a teacher (sorry kids). I just loved my job way too much! I decided to remain a dog walker. Clients, neighbors and friends got to know me, they helped spread the word about Trusty Tails, the business continued to grow… and here we are today.
As the owner of Trusty Tails Pet Care, I am very proud of where we are today as a company. I hold the business to very high standards and am passionate about providing the best pet care around. Additionally, I am always looking for ways to improve our systems, technology, training and development for the team.
I moved to Hoboken, NJ in 2000 and then to Glen Ridge, NJ in 2016 where I live with my husband, two children and two Kerry Blue Terriers (Blue and Lacey). My clients, their humans and my staff are all a part of my family, as we have become very close over the years. I am truly passionate about my business and proudly operate with sincerity and integrity every step of the way. My team and I all look forward to getting to know you and your pets and building a lasting relationship through the years!
Human Resources & General Manager Savannah, GA
I came to Hoboken in 2011 and recently moved to Savannah, GA with my husband. I’ve spent more than 15 years of Human Resources for Business Process Outsourcing and Information Technology companies.
My love for dogs began at a very early age. Since as far as I can remember, our house was never without a dog. At one point, we gave home to 7 dogs and 6 cats – a Rottweiler, six mixed-breeds and 6 persian cats. Aside from cats & dogs, I grew up with birds and guinea pigs as pets. They are an awesome sight to behold watching them have little fights and play around a lot with each other. Currently, I have a 7-year old Chow Chow, named Buddha, who lives with my parents. It was not easy having to move to a place where pets weren’t allowed, but as luck would turn out, Trusty Tails needed a Human Resources person and so here I am. I join the team in developing HR policies and processes and taking care of furry pets of all kinds!
I take pride in working for Trusty Tails. Not only do I get to be around animals but I get to do what I do best career-wise. Here’s looking forward to meeting you and your adorable furry babies.
Client Relations Manager
I was born and raised in NYC and have been a Hoboken resident since 2003. Outside of being a manager for Trusty Tails, I have been a fitness instructor and personal trainer for over 15 years. Prior to that, I was a marketing professional for 10 years. I currently have four senior dogs and one cat whom I consider my children. My love of animals stems from my mother who also happens to be a dog groomer in Hoboken.
Client Relations Manager
I’ve been a professional dog walker for a little for several years. I have always had dogs in my life as long as I can remember. Taking care of animals doesn’t feel like a job to me. It’s the one thing that’s guaranteed to make my day better! My number one goal is to make sure your baby is happy, healthy, and gets plenty of exercise.
Cat Happiness Manager
After working in banking software for many years, I joined Trusty Tails and have been on the team since 20016. I understand the difficulties and stresses behind living your cat behind when you travel. I used to travel frequently for business and would leave my cat in the care of my friend until she moved and then it was hard to find reliable care. What’s been amazing with Trusty Tails is that they give me free rein to talk to anyone and everyone about cat sitting. Now, I am the Cat Lady and all ‘my’ cats live all around the area. It is a most rewarding job and I’ve met some amazing kitties and parents and can’t wait to meet you and yours.
My name is Amy, I’m from North Bergen, NJ and I have been a dog walker with Trusty Tails since 2016. Before Trusty Tails, I worked in a doggie daycare. I have been working with dogs for about 6 years now and have 4 dogs of my own at home. Outside of dog walking, I am also an EMT. My ultimate goal is to become a firefighter. In my free time, I like to read and spend time with my friends and family.
I’m Danielle, born and raised in Weehawken, NJ. I always had a stronger bond and connection with animals, especially cats and dogs. My family had our fair share in pets, from dogs and cats to birds, hamsters and lizards! With that being said, I’m slowly, but surely getting back into school to become a veterinarian. When I’m not working, I like spending time with friends and family and also paint and cross stitch as a stress reliever on the side.
Neighborhood Manager & Key Manager
I was Born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri. Growing up, I always had animals in the house – a guinea pig, a parakeet, and a dog. Currently, I have two roommates and have both a rabbit and a dog. I am a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology, but I prefer dog walking and cat sitting to programming. In my spare time I enjoy reading and good food.
I got my first pet for my fourth birthday, a cockatiel named George. Since then, I have never lived without animals. I’ve had cats, birds, fish, guinea pigs, and even frogs! I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers University and, having raised over ten cats from kitten-hood throughout my life, as well as working with dogs for the past two years, I have decided to use my knowledge of behavior to pursue a career in pet care. I find working with animals far more rewarding than the work I have done with humans. In my spare time, when I’m not snuggling with my own fur babies, you can find me painting and crafting with random mediums that typically aren’t found together. My latest project involves a mixture of school glue and acrylic paint, dripped inside a clear glass bottle and spun around to resemble tie dye.
